RENTAL HELP
 
 
Level 1: Complimentary Rental Services
 
 
This level will assist the transferee by indoctrinating them to the San Diego area through pre-arrival phone counseling. In addition, we will offer the customer suggestions to attempt their own rental search. Information will be provided with tips for renters, sample biographies and California Association of Realtors Application. Websites and property management contacts will be supplied.

All short-term corporate housing and rental furniture needs will be coordinated. Solid relationships have been established with serveral Corporate Housing Companies and Furniture Rental Companies. We work closely with these specialists who can accommodate requests from individuals to large groups. Client placement in corporate housing can be provided for locally, as well as nationally and internationally. This service applies to clients requiring a temporary stay of 30 days or longer.

Level 2: Executive Tour
 
 
This level offers a more personalized rental service which includes a guided tour of rental properties. The Rental Services Coordinator will contact the transferee and complete a needs analysis: area counseling, determining rental housing type, price range, move-in date, lease term and any other special needs. This personalized search includes single family homes, townhouses, condominiums and apartments.

A San Diego Community package will be sent Priority Mail. This package includes a community guide of San Diego, maps, school information, latest school rankings, daycare providers, private schools, average rental rates by neighborhood, CA renters application, utilities' phone numbers, local newspapers, and rental guide. International transferees will receive Hello USA (Everyday Living for International Residents and Visitors). Upon request, a comprehensive demographic comparison will be prepared to meet individual needs. Based on the needs analysis, the Rental Service Coordinator will access available inventory and preview rental properties. An appointment will be scheduled and arrangements will be made to pick up the client for an accompanied tour to view properties. Upon the transferee renting a property, the Rental Service Coordinator will assist with the rental application, lease negotiation, and lease signing. Follow-up calls to the rental community and to the client are made to ensure that the rental application has been accepted and the move has taken place. A half-day search will typically take 3-4 hours. The full day will take approximately 7 hours. Twenty-four hour advance notice is needed to coordinate the rental tour.

Level 3: International Settle-In Services
 
 
This level offers an extensive and personalized service designed to assist the foreign national moving to the San Diego Area on a temporary or permanent basis. Initially, the transferee will meet with a coordinator for an orientation session. This meeting consists of introducing the transferee to American culture, customs, lifestyles, their interests, hobbies, commute times, weather patterns and other concerns they may have with their new community. They will also receive an extensive relocation package that further discusses relocation to the San Diego area.

Appointments are then scheduled for the transferee to arrange social security cards, DMV, opening a bank account, school enrollment, insurance, rental car, and temporary housing. The coordinator will then work with the transferee regarding their housing needs as per level 2 rental assistance.

After completion of the program, the transferee will be invited to call the coordinator at any time should they have any problems or questions related to their relocation. This service is available for them as long as they reside in the San Diego Area. When utilizing this program, we ask that the transferee allow 14 hours to spend working with their coordinator.

Level 4: International Settle-In Services
 
 
This level is designed to help orientate the tranferee to San Diego. Area Tours aid the transferee in the decision-making process to relocate to San Diego. We pick up the candidates at the employer's work place and give them a guided tour of San Diego. This tour is a wonderful way to introduce the client to San Diego and all that it offers. We show Inland and Coastal areas depending on the preference of the transferees. Candidates will also receive a comprehensive information package. This program typically requires 2-3 hours of the candidate's time.

Fee: $500.00

 

Level 5: International Settle-In Services
 
 
This level offers an on-site presentation to quickly and effectively acquaint transferees and their families with the elements of the total relocation assistance program. This overview of San Diego includes community interest, housing prices, commute distance, education, shopping, hospital locations and points of interest. Groups will also receive an information guide. This guided tour will take approximately 3 hours. Group Tours will be tailored to fit the needs of your Group Move.

Fee: $500.00 per community

 

Level 6: Group Move
 
 
This level assists groups of any size over an extended period of time. This service is comparable to Level 2 and Level 4 on a group level.
